Wu Ba Jiu: I think that China is very different from other
countries and comparatively developing very fast.
Wu Wen De: I think that China seems to be better off than a
lot of places.
Wu Wen Bin: The outside world seems unstable and
dangerous, but I would have to go see for myself.

Basically, yes.
55. Do you consider yourselves better off than your parents
and grandparents?
Wu Ba Jiu: Much better off.
Sons: About the same as our parents.
56. What would your family like to own that you think
would make your lives better?
Better tools for farming and breeding fish. Medicine to
prevent fish diseases.
57. Do you have any savings or security?
We have a savings account in the bank.
58. When and how are you planning for retirement?
Wu Ba Jiu: Farmers do not retire.
We have an old Chinese saying: "Raise your children to look
after you in old age."
59. How would you make your children's lives better?
Wu Wen De and Wu Wen Bin: Give our children an education,
and make more money for them.
60. What kind of future do you see for your children?
If China does not change its policy, their future will be better
and better.
